Organisation

The Institute was brought into being by the Laser-Laboratorium Göttingen e.V. and is given guidance by the board of trustees as well as by the Ministry of Science and Culture of the State of Lower Saxony. There is a close co-operation with the Georg-August University of Göttingen.

The Institute is subdivided into five departements:

• Nanostructures
• Optics / Short Wavelengths
• Optical Nanoscopy
• Photonic Sensor Technology
• Ultrashort Pulse Photonics
