Manufacturing of SERS active substrates in the LLG

For the commercial use of SERS active, nano structured substrates, a high amplification factor which shows a constant value in the whole substrate, is an indispensable condition. Only a few of the SERS surfaces published until now were able to meet these requirements.

With their successful research work, the scientific staff of the LLG managed to manufacture SERS substrates with higher amplification factures compared to commercially available substrates.

These novel substrates were presented to the public at the “Laser World of Photonics 2009” exhibition in Munich, Germany, for the first time.
