Biosensors

In many applications in biotechnology optical sensors admit a fast contact-free and sensitive measurement of individual quantities of a biological system.

For the realization of such sensors several micro optical components are frequently employed, e.g. gratings, micro lenses, diffractive optical elements and waveguide-structures.
By combining and mutually adapting the design and fabrication of microstructures and optical measurement tools, new equipment and methods in the area of fluorescence-readers and evanescent field sensors are developed.
