Department "Nanostructures"

The department Nanostructures is engaged in the processing of diverse materials by direct laser ablation (polymers, glass, ceramics, metals, semiconductors). Predominantly excimer lasers, F₂-lasers, and UV-ultra-fast lasers are applied. The fundamentals of photoablation are investigated, and applications in micro optics and biosensors are developed.
